Der Gasthof wurde 1911/12 abgerissen. Herr Karl Kuntzsch der Besitzer der Potschappler Porzellanmanufaktur plante zusammen mit dem Bau von Häusern an der Dresdner Straße eine neue gastronomische Einrichtung. Es entstand die Restauration &quot;Döhlener Hof&quot;, ein Restaurant mit großem Saal das als Lokalität für Tanzveranstaltungen, Vereins- und Parteiversammlungen, Konzerte und Theaterveranstaltungen von sich reden macht. Im Dezember 1930 eröffnen hier die &quot; Zentrum-Lichtspiele&quot;, mit über 600 Plätzen Freitals zweitgrößtes Kino. Im Januar 1947 kommt es durch unachtsamkeit einer älteren Bewohnerin zu einem Brand bei dem alles vernichtet wird. Im Jahr 1951 bekommt die Stadtverwaltung Freital auf Veranlassung des damaligen Ministerpräsidenten Max Seydewitz Investmittel in Höhe von 280 000 DM für den Ausbau der &quot;Brandruine Döhlener Hof&quot; zum kommunalen Kulturhaus.Das neue Haus wird im Juni 1952 eröffnet.Bürgermeister Kurt Studeny hält die Festansprache.
